The Seance
Come one, come all to The Seance of one Laura Boutros--medium to London's who's who! On October 31st, when the veil between worlds is thinnest, we gather to commune with not just the demons of All Hallow's Eve, but so that we can play the games of life and death safely. Miss Boutros' seances are known to include more than you bargained for...don't let that haunt you ;)
A party. A game. Definitely a good ol’ fashioned rager!
“I have come to learn that for some of you this is your first seance. That’s okay, because this’ll hardly be one… What I mean to say is, I won’t be the one raising the dead tonight. The dead already roam, it’s All Hallow’s Eve after all. On your invites I was listed as the medium–the go between. That was a lie. I am a storyteller, as are all of you.
You may not accept this fact yet, but by the time you leave here tonight, you’ll have done and said things you might feel are unatural, maybe even supernatural. Each of you are recieving an envelope. In it is a ghost I need your help confronting. Do or don’t that’s up to you, but where restless spirits remain, so do your ghosts. At the very least, keep them entertained. They love to play….”
“In your envelopes are tasks. This might be something simple you can do on your own, or it might require you to gather a group, or it might be chained with another guest’s task. This won’t be as simple as announcing your task to the others, as some of you might be nonbelievers. You lack of faith in the seance actively sabotages the ritual. In either case, there are very particular steps required, but once they do, that which haunts us will appear…”
“There has been a ghost at work, tasks possessing you all. Forcing you to comply, but now it is time to let yourself play. Truly let go. This will be your last instruction. It is time that we burn these tasks, release the demon of mundanity, and summon the ghost of your inner child.”
